The VAYU is a flying wing with a wide range of applications. The VAYU is supplied as a kit. The laser-cut wooden parts are assembled and glued together in just a few simple steps using the plug-in box principle. Please read these instructions carefully, even if you have already built many RC models. We have put a great deal of thought into the design details to keep the construction effort as simple and minimal as possible, without compromising on functionality. The kit is manufactured using modern CNC technology. This means you can be sure that you won’t encounter any nasty surprises with ill-fitting parts when building the VAYU. We hope you enjoy building your new VAYU and, above all, flying it afterwards!
Thanks to CNC-laser-cut parts that fit perfectly, assembling the VAYU is quick and hassle-free. Using these assembly instructions, the VAYU can be built without any problems even without a construction plan; the build is quick and can be completed in just a few evenings, even by inexperienced model builders. Please take some time to study these assembly instructions thoroughly before you begin assembly. The build is carried out on a poplar plywood template using the slot-and-groove principle. This construction method allows the wing to be assembled in one go, including the upper and lower skins as well as the wing tips. This virtually eliminates any risk of the wing warping! The VAYU has transport-friendly dimensions, a Quick Connect wing lock with Easy Power ON/OFF function, an integrated tail hook and a ballast option (optional ballast box # 26950002).
